Medical Advisor

About the role

Alkem Laboratories is seeking a Medical Advisor to support its pharmaceutical portfolio across India. The role involves ensuring scientific and ethical integrity of medical activities, providing high‑quality information to internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development of medical‑marketing programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and promotion of the assigned product portfolio, providing strategic input for marketing and medical plans.
• Create, review, and ensure compliance of promotional, training, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) materials.
• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders through launch meetings, advisory boards, scientific symposia, and other educational interactions.
• Plan and support research projects, including protocol development and documentation.
• Provide accurate medical information to sales teams and healthcare professionals in line with SOPs.
• Deliver medical training to new and existing sales staff, covering basic sciences, therapeutic areas, and product specifics.
• Support new product evaluation, local formulation development, and line‑extension initiatives through literature review and recommendations.
• Assist regulatory affairs with labeling documentation and support pharmacovigilance by reporting adverse events promptly.

Required profile

• MBBS and MD in Pharmacology (mandatory).
• 1 to 4 years of experience in medical marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of medical‑marketing regulations and ethical standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
