Media Public Relations Coordinator

About the role

Sankar Group is seeking a proactive Media & Public Relations Coordinator to enhance the visibility of the Group, its companies, brands, leadership, and key initiatives across India. You will work closely with senior leadership to create and execute PR strategies that drive media coverage, brand awareness, and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets; maintain a structured media contact database.
• Identify newsworthy stories and convert them into media opportunities across newspapers, digital publications, TV, podcasts, YouTube, and events.
• Prepare press releases, media notes, founder profiles, and pitches; track and report on published coverage.
• Coordinate interviews, calls, and meetings for founders and leadership, securing opportunities such as podcasts, YouTube interviews, and panel discussions.
• Understand each business within the Sankar Group and craft unique stories that highlight launches, partnerships, milestones, and industry developments.

• Highly proactive and communication‑driven with a strong interest in media relations.
• Ability to identify and develop story ideas that align with business objectives.
• Comfortable working closely with senior leadership to increase their public visibility.
