Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Tenneco is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its CNC machine fleet. The role focuses on minimizing downtime through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on CNC machines.
• Overhaul spindles, replace bearings, and execute precision alignment.
• Inspect, repair, and replace ball screws and linear motion guides.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct machine geometry checks, alignment, backlash correction, and accuracy restoration.
• Carry out root cause analysis and vibration analysis for recurring failures.
• Implement corrective actions to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with electrical teams for cross‑functional troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings, as well as technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and controls to support cross‑functional troubleshooting.
