Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Projects

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Mumbai team, focusing on data‑center projects. You will design, implement and optimise mechanical systems that keep critical data‑center infrastructure running efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop cooling, power distribution and related mechanical systems using CAD tools.
• Analyse thermal‑management requirements and create solutions to improve cooling efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to verify performance and safety standards.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications and operation manuals.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and vendors to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Identify and resolve mechanical system issues through systematic troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit for mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies and thermal‑management principles for data centres.
• Experience with equipment selection, sizing and specification.
• Familiarity with BIM and energy‑efficiency optimisation (preferred).
• Understanding of relevant building codes, safety regulations and data‑centre best practices.
