Mechanical Designer – Thermal Systems (Engine Cooling Fan)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop thermal system components for engine cooling fans. The role involves creating 3D models and detailed drawings using Siemens NX and managing product data within Teamcenter PLM.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize and detail thermal system designs, generating 3D models and drawings in NX according to PS‑TS standards.
• Participate in design reviews, applying BES‑PE principles and providing input to improve engineering processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineers, product managers, and manufacturing—to incorporate feedback and drive design improvements.
• Utilize Teamcenter PLM to organize CAD data, ensure version control, and support efficient team collaboration.
• Maintain a structured data management system in Teamcenter, including naming conventions, BOM creation, and file organization.
• Ensure CAD models and drawings are error‑free, meet quality standards, and comply with company policies.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically hydraulic and plastic component design.
• Strong knowledge of joining/assembly methods and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Required skills

• Siemens NX (Unigraphics) for 3D modeling and parametric design.
• SAP for data management.
• Teamcenter PLM for product lifecycle management.
• Creation of engineering drawings and documentation.
• Hydraulic design expertise.
• Plastic design expertise.
• Joining/assembly methods.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
