Mechanical Design Engineer – UG NX Electromechanical (Bangalore)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join HCL Technologies in Bangalore. The role focuses on the design and development of electromechanical products for consumer electronics, using UG NX and related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3‑D models, assemblies and 2‑D drawings in UG NX for plastic, sheet‑metal and machined components.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for electromechanical subsystems, ensuring manufacturability.
• Perform material selection, DFM/DFA analysis and tolerance stack‑up calculations.
• Generate and manage engineering BOMs, ECOs/ECRs and product data in Teamcenter PLM.
• Collaborate with NPI/NPD teams from ideation through production release.

Required profile

• 7‑15 years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics.
• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Proven track record in electromechanical product development.

Required skills

• UG NX (3D modelling, sheet‑metal, plastic, surface modelling, assemblies).
• Plastic and sheet‑metal design and manufacturing.
• Teamcenter PDM/PLM for lifecycle management.
• GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA.
• MCAD PCB layout, EMN/EMP verification.
• NPI/NPD process knowledge.
