Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our design team and deliver innovative engineering solutions for a range of customers. The role involves creating detailed designs, supporting both small‑batch production and one‑off projects, and collaborating closely with the manufacturing supply chain to meet tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document engineering designs, drawings, technical illustrations, manuals, reports and calculations in line with client specifications.
• Propose design solutions for assigned projects and ensure deliverables meet technical and commercial requirements.
• Support small to medium sized projects under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, including participation in test programs and factory acceptance tests.
• Communicate design changes that may affect cost or schedule to relevant product line personnel.
• Attend client meetings, liaise with suppliers and provide engineering support across the NOV Elmar group.
• Stay informed about industry developments and incorporate relevant concepts into new designs.
• Travel as required to support business needs.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• BTech/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate client requirements into profitable solutions.
