Material Planner

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The role ensures that materials are planned, tracked, and delivered on time, supporting business requirements through close collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and the sales organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier inventory levels and on‑time delivery performance.
• Collaborate with pricing and receiving teams to resolve cost changes, shortages, overages, and shipment discrepancies.
• Coordinate vendor returns (RMAs) and issue Release Authorization Numbers (RANs) to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate vendor profiles, including lead times, MOQ, and pallet quantities.
• Update system codes (e.g., ETA, item status) to ensure visibility of shipments.
• Respond to sales inquiries on ETAs and product availability, establishing consistent communication protocols.
• Ensure supplier packaging compliance for efficient warehouse operations.
• Escalate critical issues such as delayed shipments or supplier non‑compliance.
• Expedite or defer items to align with demand and production needs.
• Support shrinkage analysis, inventory movement investigations, and special cross‑functional projects.
• Track and analyze inventory costs, stock usage rates, and generate reports for business units.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce material costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical abilities and proactive problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking tools.
