Marine Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Marine Design Engineer (Marine Draftsman) to join our ship design and construction team. The role focuses on converting 2‑D construction drawings into accurate 3‑D CAD models using Rhinoceros and supporting our in‑house software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret 2‑D construction and layout drawings.
• Convert 2‑D drawings into detailed 3‑D models.
• Prepare 2‑D ship tank plans, cargo space layouts and ship view drawings.
• Develop 3‑D models to support the configuration of internal software tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ship structure and outfitting design.
• Good knowledge of marine terminology and outfitting systems.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Diploma or degree in any engineering discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Rhinoceros (Rhino 3D) or other 3‑D CAD systems.
• Ability to read and interpret 2‑D construction drawings.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
