Manufacturing Module Lead

About the role

Exponent Energy, which builds EV charging stations and battery packs, is hiring a Manufacturing Module Lead in Bengaluru. The role works with the Manufacturing Engineering & Industrialisation team, which turns product designs into scalable, production-ready manufacturing systems. It covers line setup projects, process development and cross-functional program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing line setup and industrialisation projects, from concept through production ramp-up
• Coordinate layout planning, equipment selection and process flow design with manufacturing engineering teams
• Ensure successful installation, FAT, SAT, commissioning and ramp-up of new production lines, and support pilot builds and production validation
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones and resource plans, track progress and KPIs (timeline, cost, yield, throughput, quality)
• Identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks and drive mitigation plans
• Act as the main interface between Product, Design, Manufacturing, Automation, Quality and Supply Chain teams, and with machine builders, system integrators and suppliers
• Drive manufacturability reviews (DFM/DFA) with design teams and capture project learnings for cross-deployment

Required profile

• 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialisation or technical program management (ideal range 4-8 years)
• Experience leading line setup, automation deployment or NPI programs
• Strong exposure to high-precision assembly, automation systems or EV/battery manufacturing preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and to make technical decisions

Required skills

• Understanding of manufacturing process development and line deployment
• Knowledge of program management methodologies and project tracking tools
• Experience working with system integrators, machine builders and equipment vendors
