Manufacturing Engineer – Mechanical Design

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development of innovative, cost‑effective mechanical solutions and help bring new or improved products to market. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in all stages from concept through prototype testing and commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical products and processes.
• Build and test prototypes, set up lab simulations, and document test results.
• Create and maintain product documentation, technical reports, and customer presentations.
• Provide corrective actions on defects and support field customers through InTouch.
• Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and code.
• Contribute to design standards, promote design reuse, and mentor junior engineers.
• Evaluate engineering approaches, risks, and adopt new practices to improve product cost and performance.
• Author technical papers, patents, and share expertise via internal groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (BE/B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical abilities to produce mathematical models and design conclusions.
• Experience in prototype development, lab testing, and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and customers.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as Sarbanes‑Oxley.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mechanical design and analysis tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software).
• Experience using InTouch or similar field support platforms.
• Ability to create technical documentation and presentations.
