Manufacturing Controller – Operations Finance

About the role

The Manufacturing Controller – Operations Finance partners with the manufacturing and milk production teams to drive cost efficiency, productivity and financial performance across Danone's own plant in Lalru and its external co‑packers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning process for manufacturing and fresh‑milk cost assumptions, monitoring KPIs and monthly closing.
• Analyse internal and external manufacturing cost performance, benchmark against other Danone factories, co‑packers and competitors.
• Challenge resource and cost allocation decisions, supporting operations leaders with data‑driven insights.
• Drive productivity projects, linking cost drivers to financial results and facilitating benchmark discussions.
• Build robust business cases to optimise ROI for CAPEX projects.
• Maintain reliable standard costs for all SKUs, track actual costs and analyse cost‑driver impacts.
• Oversee industrial and milk cost structures, including sourcing costs for co‑packer supplies.
• Co‑lead productivity portfolio reviews and validate cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in manufacturing finance or cost accounting.
• Proven ability to analyse cost performance and develop financial models.
• Experience partnering with operations teams to influence resource allocation.
• Capability to manage budgeting, forecasting and monthly closing processes.
