Manager, Tax

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Tax to lead the preparation of interim and annual tax provisions and related SEC disclosures. The role will work closely with the corporate tax team and cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
• Support the preparation of tax footnote disclosures for Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K.
• Coordinate global tax provision analytics, documentation, and regional submissions.
• Maintain and review the annual Tax Basis Balance Sheet under US GAAP.
• Assist with consolidated federal tax returns, including tax adjustments and compliance filings.
• Perform monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations and ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley controls.
• Research technical tax issues, stay current on trends, and communicate impacts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience in large corporate or Big 4 environment with focus on tax provision and reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with large data sets and formulate business questions.

• OneSource Tax Provision (or similar tax provision software).
• Corptax Compliance.

• Alteryx.
