Manager / Senior Manager – Design (HPU & Manifold)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to lead the HPU & Manifold Design Department at Bosch Rexroth India. You will shape engineering strategy, ensure design excellence, and drive innovation across hydraulic and electric drive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement engineering strategy, best practices, and standardization for HPU and manifold design.
• Oversee Engineer-to-Order (ETO) project execution, meeting timelines and quality standards.
• Drive cost optimisation, value engineering, and localisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and global engineering units.
• Build team capability, technical expertise, and a leadership pipeline.
• Ensure documentation, audits, and compliance with internal and global standards.
• Resolve critical technical challenges and manage customer escalations.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 15‑20 years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience in design or development of hydraulic power units and manifolds.
• Strong track record of delivering complex ETO projects on schedule.
• Experience in cost optimisation, value engineering and localisation.
