Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (OMS)

Position Summary

The Manager IV, Manufacturing Engineering leads the OMS organization across multiple Business Units, ensuring manufacturing documentation readiness and operational performance. The role oversees about 50 engineers through managers and technical leaders, partnering with Manufacturing, NPI, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. It is responsible for driving digital transformation and building organizational capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi‑level organization of Manufacturing Engineering managers, technical leads, engineers and contractors; own workforce planning, succession and leadership development.
• Own end‑to‑end OMS/iOMS delivery for NPI, HVM, supplier and contract manufacturing, and field installation programs.
• Align OMS priorities, capacity and execution plans with product roadmaps, factory requirements, build schedules and customer commitments.
• Drive OMS readiness, mapping readiness, FTR, OTTC, SLA adherence, productivity, quality‑escape reduction and NC/redline closure performance.
• Define and execute the OMS digital roadmap, including automation, AI‑enabled solutions, next‑generation platforms and model‑based manufacturing capabilities.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, product engineering or manufacturing operations, including leadership of managers and large technical teams.
• Experience with NPI, HVM, manufacturing readiness, product documentation, operational excellence and complex electromechanical or semiconductor equipment.
• Strong executive communication, cross‑functional influence, organizational change leadership and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Working knowledge of PLM, CAD, SAP, MES/iOMS, digital manufacturing, automation and AI‑enabled engineering solutions (preferred).
