Manager II, Professional Education & Development

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager II to lead professional education and development initiatives for its Vision Care segment in India. The role combines strategic category management with the design and delivery of clinical education programs, supporting both market growth and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academics, professionals and relevant organisations.
• Organise company‑sponsored symposia, advisory boards and other educational events.
• Design, develop and deliver education programmes that align with market, product and brand strategies.
• Provide clinical and technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Create and present training materials for congresses, forums and meetings.
• Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and profitability in Vision Care.
• Manage product assortment, pricing and promotional tactics.
• Collaborate with suppliers, marketing, sales and supply‑chain teams to ensure optimal product availability and performance.
• Analyse market trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
• Monitor category performance, conduct business reviews and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Education in a health‑related field (e.g., optometry, ophthalmology, life sciences).
• Relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Proven experience in professional education, category or product management within the healthcare sector.
