Manager – Controllership & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead controllership and financial reporting for our Bangalore office. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of trial balance to financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation of local GAAP adjustments, finalize legal entity trial balances, and perform detailed GL analysis and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review full financial statements – income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, notes to accounts and supporting schedules.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end close activities with accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct flux/variance analysis, identify business drivers and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Support statutory reporting, audits and management reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with global stakeholders to resolve accounting, reporting and compliance matters.
• Handle lease accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842), intercompany accounting, transfer pricing and balance‑sheet governance.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in controllership, financial reporting and trial‑balance ownership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP and accounting standards.
• Experience in multinational environments with complex reporting structures.
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP/financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, BlackLine or Hyperion.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or related degree (CA preferred).
• Ability to work independently, manage reporting cycles and collaborate with global teams.
