Management Controller

About the role

The Management Controller supports the finance team by overseeing monthly closing processes, analysing results, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This role collaborates closely with various business units to provide insight into performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in, understand, and challenge the monthly closing process.
• Analyse monthly results, explain variances versus budget and prior month across all P&L and activity lines.
• Consolidate weekly financial performance reports and key performance indicators such as overdue external and internal items and internal controls.
• Coordinate and consolidate actions for the "Back on Track" initiative.
• Contribute to budget and medium‑term planning processes, including guidelines, recharges, and standard templates.
• Benchmark and standardise management control tools.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses as required.
• Propose solutions for inter‑site, product line, and product group disputes (e.g., transfer pricing, R&D recharges).
• Conduct on‑site management control reviews.
• Review and pre‑validate Internal Audit Reports (IAR) and Cost Allocation Analyses (CAA) to ensure proper workflow compliance.
• Ensure deployment of standard tools from Group, Division, Product Group, and Product Line within the region.
• Support the Group Ethics & Compliance programme by adhering to the code of ethics and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of monthly closing and financial reporting processes.
• Experience analysing variances and preparing detailed financial commentary.
• Ability to consolidate weekly performance data and monitor key financial indicators.
• Familiarity with budgeting, medium‑term planning, and standardisation of control tools.
• Analytical mindset for ad‑hoc projects and dispute resolution.
• Attention to detail in reviewing audit and cost allocation documents.
• Commitment to ethics, compliance, and corporate governance standards.
