Maintenance Technician – Preventive Maintenance

About the role

Swish is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to carry out preventive maintenance across its network of neighbourhood kitchens. The role ensures that refrigeration, HVAC, power and other facility equipment operate safely and reliably to support rapid food delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) tasks.
• Inspect, service and repair refrigeration systems, DG sets, HVAC units, electrical panels, conveyors and other plant equipment.
• Record all maintenance actions, readings and observations in the maintenance register or system.
• Identify early signs of wear, faults or breakdown risk and take corrective action.
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs; coordinate major repairs with external vendors.
• Manage spare parts inventory and raise purchase indents as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company protocols and support audits and inspections.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational downtime.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or related trade.
• 1–3+ years experience in facility, equipment, warehouse, manufacturing or cold‑chain maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends when required.
• Good reading and writing skills for maintenance documentation.
