Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and rapid fault diagnosis. The role involves working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural systems while adhering to health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of plant and equipment.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job reports.
• Assist with plant installation, commissioning and minor project works.
• Test and calibrate instruments and control systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and safe systems of work.
• Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and raise purchase requests.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure work meets company standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• EPA technician certification.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
