Maintenance Technician II – Hospital Facilities

About the role

Pana Community Hospital is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician II to keep the facility’s infrastructure, equipment, and utility systems operating safely and efficiently. The role involves a mix of routine upkeep, emergency response, and preventive inspections in a patient‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair hospital and patient‑care equipment such as beds, tables, and chairs.
• Maintain building automation, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to emergencies and provide 24‑hour on‑call support as needed.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boiler systems, and kitchen appliances.
• Ability to perform semi‑skilled tasks, basic electrical and plumbing repairs, and general maintenance.
• Capability to learn and operate building automation, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Understanding of hospital utility systems, backup procedures, and emergency shutdown protocols.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in hot, cold, or patient‑care environments.
