Maintenance In-charge (Production Machinery)

About the role

The Maintenance In-charge ensures uninterrupted operation of key production equipment in a plastic compounding plant. You will lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for twin‑screw extruders, mixers, and related utilities, driving high availability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for extrusion lines, mixers, pelletizers and feeders.
• Rapidly troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimise downtime.
• Apply predictive techniques such as vibration and oil analysis to anticipate failures.
• Maintain utilities including air compressors, vacuum pumps, chillers, cooling towers and EOT cranes.
• Lead a team of technicians, assign tasks and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Coordinate with production to reduce scrap, contamination and machine stoppages.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory for critical mechanical and electrical components.
• Uphold 5S standards and safety compliance throughout the plant.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in plastic extrusion, masterbatch or compound manufacturing.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a CIPET qualification.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and calmness under pressure.
• Proven team‑leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Twin‑screw extruders, high‑speed mixers, pelletizers, volumetric and gravimetric feeders.
• Vibration analysis, oil analysis for predictive maintenance.
• PLC systems and programming.
• Electrical panels (11 kV HT line, LT MCC) and mechanical assemblies.
• Utility equipment maintenance (air compressors, vacuum pumps, chillers, cooling towers, EOT cranes).
• Spare‑parts inventory management.
• 5S and safety compliance practices.
