Maintenance Engineer – Pilot Line (B Zone)

About the role

Responsible for equipment availability, reliability and maintainability of the pilot line through hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement. The role focuses on mechanical engineering while collaborating with electrical and automation engineers on major breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Support equipment installation, commissioning, trials and ramp‑up of the pilot line; work with OEMs, system integrators, contractors and internal teams.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans and adjust frequencies based on failure history.
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure rapid restoration of equipment.
• Conduct RCA using 5‑Why, Fishbone and other methods, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Identify critical spares, maintain maintenance history, and improve MTTR/MTBF while eliminating recurring failures.
• Create and maintain maintenance standards, checklists, SOPs and troubleshooting guides.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience in lithium‑ion cell manufacturing, paint, solar cell or other highly automated manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience with breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, RCA, CAPA and problem‑solving tools such as 8D, 5‑Why and 7 QC Tools.
• Desired knowledge of lithium‑ion cell manufacturing, pilot‑line commissioning/ramp‑up, and hands‑on experience with FMEA, TPM, OEE and reliability improvement.
