Machine Operator – Basic – Medical Devices

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Operator Basic to join our production line at Essity’s manufacturing plant in Ponda, Goa. The role involves operating and supporting machines that produce medical‑device components, ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, set‑up and monitor primary production machines and ancillary equipment such as printers.
• Perform tool changeovers and routine adjustments without specialist assistance.
• Ensure material and resource availability for uninterrupted production.
• Check product quality against specifications, reject non‑conforming items and manage quarantined material.
• Complete required documentation (BMR, in‑process inspection reports, loss data, etc.) accurately.
• Participate in troubleshooting, process‑failure resolution and support CAPA investigations.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Communicate shift hand‑over information and coordinate with the packing line team.

Required profile

• High School diploma with ITI or equivalent technical training.
• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical‑device or similar regulated sector.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based team and follow standard operating procedures.
