Loss Prevention Associate

About the role

The Loss Prevention Associate is responsible for safeguarding the property, assets, and guests by investigating incidents, handling complaints, and ensuring a safe environment. This role requires proactive interaction with guests, staff, and external authorities to resolve security‑related issues promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate theft, fraud, lost items, noise, assault, food‑poisoning, and other guest complaints.
• Conduct interviews, gather statements, and compile evidence for each incident.
• Notify managers, supervisors, local police, or other appropriate parties when accidents, attacks, or serious incidents occur.
• Complete detailed incident reports covering theft, accidents, physical hazards, fire alarms, and other security events.
• Manage business interruptions, suspicious individuals, civil disturbances, intoxicated guests, and noise complaints.
• Escort unwelcome persons from the property while maintaining operational flow.
• Defuse guest or employee altercations, summon authorities when needed, and document outcomes.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report unsafe conditions, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Provide courteous guest service, anticipate needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Use computers or point‑of‑sale systems to record and retrieve work‑related information.

Required profile

• Ability to follow company policies, report accidents, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills to welcome guests, address service needs, and work collaboratively with team members.
• Clear, professional communication in both spoken and written forms.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb unassisted (and heavier loads with assistance), and navigate confined or elevated spaces.
• Attention to detail for reading and verifying information in various formats.
