Logistics Manager (Onsite)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Logistics Manager to oversee truck operations and coordinate deliveries from our Myladi office. The role involves close collaboration with the sales team, drivers (pilots), and internal departments to ensure timely, cost‑effective transportation of goods. You will also ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for vehicle operation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the sales team to schedule and dispatch the appropriate trucks for each order.
• Work directly with drivers to arrange trips, ensuring a first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) loading sequence.
• Monitor vehicle condition and driver habits, performing regular checks and reporting any issues.
• Maintain daily logs of trips, income, and expenses; settle drivers’ accounts weekly using Excel.
• Prepare monthly vehicle balance sheets and report them to management.
• Collaborate with office sections to track stock levels and arrange transportation as needed.
• Control transportation costs and ensure trucks operate efficiently.
• Provide daily updates to the Managing Director on delivered and pending orders, including reasons for delays.
• Escalate unresolved concerns to senior management promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with sales, drivers, and senior management.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Ability to work onsite in Myladi, Kottayam.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and financial reconciliation.
