Live-in Governess & Private Tutor

About the role

We are seeking a polished, experienced live‑in Governess and Private Tutor to support the educational, personal and social development of a 4‑year‑old boy and a 7‑year‑old girl in a well‑established professional family. The role focuses on structured learning, child development and well‑being, and does not involve housekeeping duties. You will live with the family in Gurgaon and accompany them on occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with homework, reading, vocabulary and English speaking development.
• Conduct age‑appropriate educational activities, storytelling and general‑knowledge discussions.
• Teach good manners, table etiquette, personal grooming and hygiene.
• Organise arts, crafts, puzzles, educational games and outdoor play.
• Plan and accompany children to classes, sports, outings and occasional family travel.
• Maintain a safe, structured daily routine and positive discipline.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree; B.Ed, Montessori, Early Childhood Education, Psychology or English preferred.
• Strong academic background from a reputable English‑medium or private school.
• Excellent spoken English and a polished, presentable appearance.
• Warm, patient, affectionate attitude toward children with strong communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain structured daily routines and positive discipline.
• Comfortable with a full‑time residential/live‑in arrangement.
