Live In Caretaker / Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced live‑in caretaker to manage a private mansion block. The role combines cleaning, basic maintenance, security checks and garden upkeep, and requires a self‑motivated individual who can work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain communal areas, including waste and recycling collection.
• Perform minor repairs, change light bulbs, carry out basic painting and identify defects.
• Polish brass fixtures and ensure the building’s appearance remains high‑standard.
• Conduct health, safety and fire‑prevention checks on a daily basis.
• Carry out seasonal garden maintenance and watering.
• Distribute mail and parcels to residents.
• Maintain records and oversee day‑to‑day operations of the block.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a caretaker or similar role with strong references.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working alone.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for liaising with residents and visitors.
