Linux Server Administrator (Ubuntu, Docker, Kubernetes)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Linux Server Administrator to join our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing Ubuntu‑based servers and container platforms while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of production workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Ubuntu Linux servers in production.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers and containerized applications.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters, handling deployments, scaling, upgrades, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor server health, resource utilization, and application performance using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Configure and maintain Nginx, Apache, and reverse‑proxy services.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery, and high‑availability strategies.
• Automate routine tasks with Bash or Python scripting.
• Manage system security, user access, SSH, firewalls, and hardening.
• Troubleshoot server, network, storage, and application issues.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for infrastructure and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Ubuntu/Linux server administration.
• Proven expertise in Docker container lifecycle management.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Nginx or Apache web servers.
• Good understanding of Linux networking, DNS, SSH, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
• Ability to write Bash scripts or Python automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with system backups, storage management, and log analysis.
