Linux Operations Engineer (L2/L3)

About the role

The Linux Operations Engineer (L2/L3) will ensure the availability, performance, and security of the company's Linux infrastructure. This position supports the administration of Linux servers, monitors system health, and follows security policies to meet Service Level Agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining Linux infrastructure across data‑centre environments.
• Administer Linux servers, guaranteeing uptime, optimal performance, and compliance with security standards.
• Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance, and perform testing to sustain optimal operation.
• Provide incident and service‑request support for Linux‑related issues, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps; generate performance reports.
• Implement security policies and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams for integrated operations.
• Support change‑management processes for Linux environments, including testing, coordination, and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and server administration.
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
