Linux Malware Protection Engineer (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Linux Malware Protection Engineer to protect Linux‑based systems from malware and advanced threats. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Trend Micro Deep Security across our Linux environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Linux servers.
• Implement and maintain Trend Micro Deep Security for Linux systems.
• Ensure real‑time malware protection, EDR functionality, and scheduled scans are operational.
• Configure anti‑malware policies, exclusions, and exceptions.
• Integrate security agents with SIEM platforms such as Splunk and generate security dashboards.
• Manage agent deployment, upgrades, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Coordinate patch management and conduct regular security assessments.
• Produce compliance reports aligned with Bosch cybersecurity standards.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• 2+ years of experience with endpoint security or malware protection tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, Linux+, CISSP – preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
