Linux Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimise our Linux server environment. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of enterprise‑grade infrastructure while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
• Deploy and manage web servers such as Apache2, Nginx and Tomcat.
• Apply system patches, updates and security hardening (SELinux, iptables).
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain documentation, configuration libraries and asset inventories.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide after‑hours support for emergencies.
• Manage virtualization platforms (vSphere ESXi, vCenter, Hyper‑V) and assist with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux file systems, networking basics and command‑line interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with backup solutions and patch management.
• RHCE or RHCSA certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
