Line Cook – Full-time (Bengaluru)

About the role

Gourmet Investments Pvt. Ltd., a leading casual‑dining operator in India, is seeking a full‑time Line Cook for its Bengaluru location. You will work on‑site in a fast‑paced kitchen, preparing and plating menu items to the brand’s standards while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and brand guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Assist with stock rotation, ingredient inventory, and proper labeling.
• Support the kitchen team during service, including prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning.
• Report equipment issues and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
• Help train new team members as needed.

Required profile

• Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating for casual‑dining or international cuisines.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, station setup, mise en place, and coordination during peak service hours.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail and teamwork.
• Basic communication skills to coordinate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff.
• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Commis Chef, or similar role is preferred.
• Relevant culinary education or certification is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
