Life Insurance Team Leader

About the role

The Life Insurance Team Leader will manage a sales team focused on Tata AIA’s life insurance products in Kolkata. This full‑time, on‑site position involves coaching, performance monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also requires close collaboration with branch leadership to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Set team sales targets, monitor pipelines and review policy applications.
• Coach and mentor team members, conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support team in customer meetings, resolve escalated client issues and maintain service quality.
• Collaborate with branch leadership on campaign planning, sales data analysis and growth strategies.
• Track and report team performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of life insurance products and financial planning concepts.
• Proven experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and managing pipelines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Prior supervisory experience in life insurance or financial services is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
