Licensing and Compliance Specialist

About the role

Supervise regulatory change monitoring, conduct compliance‑related research and manage projects for the Compliance group while liaising with senior compliance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on change management, regulatory compliance and formulate compliance policies.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on federal, state and local mortgage lending laws and devise strategies to stay compliant.
• Collaborate with the Mortgage Real Estate Services team to improve documents, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and lead the monthly compliance call, including deck creation and follow‑up.
• Assist with audit preparations such as SSAE 18, SOX and client audits.
• Maintain a database of applicable statutes and regulations related to mortgage operations.
• Plan and execute projects, coordinate resources and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in compliance or audit, with ability to read, interpret and track regulatory requirements.
• Background in the real‑estate or mortgage industry creating processes and controls.
• Extensive knowledge of RESPA, FHA, GLBA and state real‑estate regulatory requirements.
• Proven project‑management skills to define problems, collect data and support business decisions.
• Experience in the title industry is desirable.
