Legal Manager

About the role

The Legal Manager will lead all legal activities for Jio World Centre, providing comprehensive contract support, regulatory guidance, and risk mitigation to protect the organization’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize a wide range of agreements, including artist, production, licensing, sponsorship, IP, marketing collaborations, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
• Maintain contract lifecycle processes, track execution, and improve standard templates and internal policies.
• Conduct due diligence on new initiatives, identify legal risks, and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Research and advise on intellectual property matters such as copyrights, trademarks, licensing, and brand protection.
• Support business development, leasing, and commercial teams with advice on license terms, deal structures, and contractual rights.
• Maintain legal records, MIS, statutory filings, and ensure timely governance reporting.
• Provide legal oversight for advertising, marketing campaigns, influencer collaborations, and brand partnerships.
• Monitor legal developments, support data‑privacy and digital media initiatives, and manage pre‑litigation matters with external counsel.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, regulators, and the central RIL team to address legal risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Background in real‑estate compliance and international law.
• Strong ability to conduct thorough legal research and manage legal documentation.
• Commercial acumen with the capacity to balance legal compliance and business objectives.
• Knowledge of litigation processes and applicable statutes, regulations, and precedents.
