Legal Manager

About the role

We are a leading real estate developer based in South Delhi seeking an experienced Legal Manager to oversee all legal, regulatory, litigation and compliance matters across our property projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and vet legal documents such as sale agreements, lease deeds, MOUs, joint‑venture and collaboration agreements, and title documents.
• Ensure compliance with RERA, land laws and other real‑estate regulations.
• Conduct due‑diligence on land and property titles prior to acquisition.
• Manage litigation, including court cases, consumer disputes, RERA complaints and arbitration proceedings.
• Liaise with government authorities (DDA, MCD, etc.) to obtain approvals, NOCs and statutory clearances.
• Advise senior management on legal risks related to projects, contracts and transactions.
• Oversee documentation for property registration, mutation and conveyance deeds.
• Handle tenant and buyer disputes and respond to legal notices.
• Monitor changes in real‑estate legislation and ensure company‑wide compliance.

Required profile

• LLB degree (mandatory); LLM preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Strong litigation experience, including handling court matters, RERA complaints and consumer disputes.
• In‑depth knowledge of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, land acquisition laws and property registration processes.
• Proven ability to draft contracts and coordinate with government authorities.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting and communication skills with high attention to detail.
