Legal Counsel – Sourcing

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Sourcing to join its global Legal Team. You will act as the primary legal resource for the I&ET supply chain organization, advising on procurement, logistics, and related operational matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain complex international commercial agreements, including strategic and indirect sourcing, joint development, contract manufacturing, logistics, consulting and general services contracts.
• Create and maintain agreement templates and detailed negotiation position documents.
• Develop processes and procedures for direct and indirect sourcing activities.
• Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance issues.
• Offer strategic advice on supply‑side legal, regulatory and operational risks, including security of supply and supplier risk management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address compliance, anti‑bribery, data privacy, corporate social responsibility and trade compliance matters.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and support pre‑litigation and litigation activities as needed.
• Oversee legal aspects of acquisitions, divestitures and special projects related to the supply chain.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Law (LLM, JD or equivalent).
• Fully qualified attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Post‑qualification experience at a global organization and/or an international law firm.
• Strong background in contract drafting for multinational clients.
