Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to deliver high‑quality, strategic legal advice to Business Line clients and Law Department colleagues. The role involves developing subject‑matter expertise while working collaboratively across the organization to support the company’s legal objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day strategic legal advice to internal clients on matters stewarded by the company.
• Conduct and coordinate legal research on issues affecting the company.
• Identify, anticipate, and mitigate legal exposure and risks in line with the company’s risk portfolio.
• Implement proactive solutions to improve efficiency and drive effective business results.
• Interface with external counsel on significant transactions, regulatory matters, and disputes.
• Develop and enhance legal expertise and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legal issues.
• Collaborate with Law Department colleagues across various departments and affiliates.
