Legal Counsel – Corporate & Compliance

About the role

The Legal Counsel will manage all corporate legal matters, ensure compliance with Indian statutes, and support business operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external advisors to mitigate legal risks and enable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment contracts, HR policies, terminations, and employee disputes; ensure labour law compliance.
• Provide guidance on Indian data protection laws, draft privacy policies, data processing agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage service agreements, vendor contracts, independent contractor agreements, MoUs and NDAs; standardise contract templates.
• Offer day‑to‑day legal advisory to business units, support regulatory registrations, licences and approvals, and conduct internal training on employment law and privacy.

Required profile

• LLB from a recognised Indian university.
• 6‑9 years of post‑qualification experience in law firms or in‑house legal teams.
• Experience in employment and privacy law matters is preferred.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities; capable of handling multiple matters independently.
