Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts & Data Privacy (Bangalore)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading organization in the IT/ITeS sector. The role focuses on managing commercial contracts and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, Vendor Agreements, and Data Transfer Agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on data privacy laws and their impact on business operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align contract terms with business objectives.
• Maintain a repository of standard contract templates and ensure they are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the IT/ITeS industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contract law and data privacy regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• In‑house legal experience is a plus.
