Legal & Compliance Executive – NBFC (4+ yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking an LLB‑qualified professional with at least four years of experience in loan documentation and NBFC compliance. The role focuses on preparing, reviewing, and managing lending‑related legal documents while ensuring strict adherence to RBI guidelines and Indian lending laws.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and execute loan agreements, sanction letters, security documents, guarantees and undertakings.
• Verify legal documents of borrowers, guarantors, collateral and property.
• Conduct legal due diligence for loan transactions and flag documentation or compliance risks.
• Maintain statutory registers, compliance trackers, legal records and documentation checklists.
• Coordinate with borrowers, internal credit teams, external advocates, valuers and other stakeholders.
• Manage stamping, registration, execution and security creation for loan documents.
• Assist with regulatory inspections, internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Review commercial agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs and other legal documents.
• Monitor regulatory updates relevant to lending and NBFC operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in loan documentation, banking, financial services, fintech or NBFC.
• Strong understanding of RBI regulations, lending processes, security creation and documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of the Companies Act, Indian Contract Act, SARFAESI Act and other applicable lending laws.
