Legal AI Agent Builder

About the role

We are seeking a Legal AI Agent Builder to lead the design and deployment of autonomous AI agents that enhance our legal operations stack. This remote position blends engineering, legal‑operations strategy, and AI workflow architecture to create intelligent systems that manage contracts, obligations, and compliance with rigorous governance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI agents that automatically review contracts, flag risks, extract clauses, and detect non‑standard language.
• Build autonomous workflows for contract drafting, redlining, approval routing, negotiation support, renewal monitoring, and obligation tracking.
• Create intelligent legal intake agents that classify requests, gather information, recommend templates, and route to appropriate stakeholders.
• Implement continuous monitoring of executed agreements for renewal dates, termination rights, payment obligations, regulatory commitments, and milestones.
• Automate compliance checks against playbooks, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Establish human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints, evaluation frameworks, and audit trails to ensure defensible AI outputs.
• Integrate agents with Microsoft Word, DocuSign CLM, DocuSign IAM, document repositories, knowledge bases, CRM, and other enterprise applications.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, legal technology, or CLM administration.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise legal teams is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with DocuSign CLM (required).
• Hands‑on experience with DocuSign IAM (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (required).
• AI workflow engineering and enterprise workflow automation.
