Lecturer in Computer Science

About the role

The Lecturer in Computer Science is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Coimbatore South. The lecturer will prepare and deliver undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions in core computer science and related areas, ensuring content aligns with the curriculum and academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update course materials, assignments and examinations.
• Mentor and advise students, supporting their academic progress.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development initiatives.
• Engage in academic and industry‑oriented activities and assist with college events and outreach.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts and ability to teach them effectively.
• Practical experience teaching programming languages such as C, C++, Java or Python.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and ability to integrate them into courses.
• Experience in curriculum development, including designing syllabi and assessment methods.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• Ability to use educational technologies, learning management systems and digital tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student success.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable.
