Lead Wintel Architect (VMware, NSX, SCCM)

About the role

Mastercard’s Systems and Platform Architecture team is seeking a Lead Wintel Architect to drive the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade Wintel, VMware, NSX and SCCM solutions. The role spans the full lifecycle from bid and concept through architecture, build, test and production deployment, ensuring alignment with Mastercard’s technology roadmap and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑level designs for Wintel, VMware and related corporate IT solutions.
• Maintain and evolve the technology roadmap for Wintel and VMware tools, tracking end‑of‑support dates.
• Collaborate with delivery, engineering and operations teams to integrate solutions.
• Validate that designs meet non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability and security.
• Identify, assess and communicate technical risks to business and operations stakeholders.
• Evaluate new products, pilot emerging technologies and recommend adoption.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Wintel and VMware technologies.
• Extensive experience in high‑availability environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex technical designs and architectures.
• Ability to analyse systems and convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Flexibility to adopt new products, services and ways of working.
