Lead System Administrator (Microsoft 365 & Azure)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead System Administrator to act as the senior technical escalation point for our Managed Service Provider (MSP) clients. You will work hands‑on across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, networking and security, delivering high‑quality support and leading migration projects for multiple SMB customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex incidents from L1 and L2 support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Azure, Microsoft 365, servers, virtualization, networking and security tools.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, document long‑term fixes and ensure SLA compliance.
• Manage Azure resources (VMs, networking, security, automation) and maintain Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO and hybrid environments.
• Oversee patching, monitoring, backups and overall system health.
• Lead on‑prem to cloud migrations, M365/SharePoint migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
• Produce low‑level designs, technical scopes and project documentation.
• Interact directly with international clients, presenting solutions confidently to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers, share knowledge and help improve internal processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Conditional Access and Azure from scratch.
• Proven experience in on‑prem to Azure migrations and Azure administration.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical projects for multiple clients.
