Lead Software Technologist – .Net Fullstack

About the role

Philips is seeking a Lead Software Technologist to drive the design, development and delivery of cloud‑native .Net full‑stack applications on its Kubernetes platform. The role combines architectural stewardship, team mentorship and hands‑on coding across front‑end and back‑end services.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural design and implementation of cloud‑native services on a Kubernetes‑based platform.
• Guide a cross‑functional Scrum team through deep‑dive code reviews and foster engineering excellence.
• Develop responsive web front‑ends (React) and robust backend APIs (C#, Python) ensuring seamless integration.
• Apply Test‑Driven Development and build automated test suites (unit, integration, contract, end‑to‑end).
• Collaborate with platform engineers to adopt CI/CD pipelines and platform capabilities.
• Embrace a “you build it, you run it” DevOps mindset using observability tooling.
• Design and optimise data models across SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Analyse and optimise application performance, resolving bottlenecks to meet benchmarks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Approximately 15+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Expert‑level knowledge of modern backend languages (C#, Python) and API patterns (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Expert‑level experience with modern web frameworks, especially React.
• Strong commitment to quality – daily practice of TDD, automated testing and clean coding.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with AWS services (EKS, IAM, RDS, Elasticache, EC2).
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem.
• 3+ years using ArgoCD, Helm, Crossplane, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, fluent‑bit, Kyverno.
• 3+ years of Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform/OpenTofu, Crossplane).
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions.
• Quick learner, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Experience in multinational, cross‑functional environments; regulated‑industry experience a plus.
