Lead Middleware Solutions Architect (Java, IBM Tivoli, SWIFT, MFT, ODI, OAS)

About the role

The Lead Middleware Solutions Architect will design, develop and oversee end‑to‑end middleware solutions for Mastercard’s payment platforms. The role spans the full lifecycle from bid and concept through architecture, build, test and production deployment, ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑level designs for middleware architecture solutions.
• Maintain the technology roadmap for middleware components, aligning with end‑of‑support dates.
• Collaborate with delivery, engineering and operations teams to implement solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability and security.
• Identify, assess and communicate technical risks and evaluate new products or technologies.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in middleware architecture and high‑availability environments.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, IBM MQ, SWIFT (SAA, SAG, SWP), GoAnywhere MFT, Oracle ODI and Oracle Application Server.
• Strong Java and scripting skills (Python) and familiarity with PKI signing software and HSM integration.
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical designs and present them to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Flexibility to adopt new products, services and strategies while understanding performance and availability requirements.
