Lead Hardware Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Hardware Engineer to drive the development of automotive ECU hardware at our Coimbatore facility. The role involves overseeing the full product lifecycle from concept through to testing and release, ensuring compliance with functional safety and EMC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and define hardware concepts for automotive ECUs.
• Design and develop modules and complete ECUs, including worst‑case calculations and simulations.
• Create schematics, bill of materials and coordinate layout development.
• Manage sample development with the manufacturing plant.
• Prepare test plans, conduct ECU and EMC testing, and coordinate test execution.
• Document projects according to defined processes and maintain DFMEA and functional safety records.

Required profile

• B.E. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 6‑9 years of experience in ECU hardware development for automotive applications.
• Proven ability to lead hardware projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of functional safety standards and EMC requirements.
