Landside Dispatch Specialist – Multi‑Carrier Operations

About the role

The Landside Dispatch Specialist ensures smooth coordination between drivers, terminals and external partners for multi‑carrier drayage operations. Working night shifts, you will assign loads, track appointments and provide real‑time support to drivers to keep containers moving on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and allocate loads to drivers in the Trinium system based on availability and capacity.
• Schedule pickup and drop‑off appointments through terminal websites and customer warehouses.
• Generate daily dispatch reports that combine Trinium data, client reports, port appointments and driver assignments.
• Investigate completed loads each day and prepare loads for the following day.
• Monitor load status, ensure timely export and pickup, and resolve any drayage issues.
• Communicate with clients to obtain appointment information and keep them informed of any disruptions.
• Approve accessorial charges, notify the Settlement Clerk for driver payment and the Transportation Coordinator for customer billing.
• Evaluate repair inquiries and coordinate with repair companies when needed.

Required profile

• Graduate degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry.
• Willingness to work full night shifts.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using the Trinium dispatch platform.
